I like the Ocean Blue 5x8' oval rug I bought for my condo on Cape Cod. It arrived a few weeks ago and adds nicely to the look of my living room. But only today did I read the tag to find out it is made from polypropylene, not wool. Tell me I did not make a huge mistake. I am not asking for anything from Capel. Your customer service has been great. But I always thought natural materials, namely wool, are a better material for braided rugs. More curious than anything because the pricing seems to be about the same.
You are correct that wool is widely considered the best all around material for braided rugs, but polypropylene has excellent rug properties as well, namely indoor/outdoor friendly and easy care. The polypropylene is solution dyed making it superior for both stain resistance and light fastness to ensure it maintains its original color and are also more resilient to moisture and mildew. Our Sea Glass rugs are designed with the ocean in mind with a great resistance to the elements and we are confident you will be happy with this rug for years to come!!!
