Spring is in the air and whimsical floral patterns are en vogue this season both on the runway and in the hallway. In this season of vivid hues and floral prints, Capel is on trend, offering a selection of area rugs for every room in your home. These multi-colored motifs set the tone for a room’s color palette, allowing you to pull in and pair additional accents and designs. From Capel’s Biltmore® For Your Home line, Orchard House is named for the farmhouse on the Biltmore grounds that pre-dates the estate. Hand tufted in India for an exceptionally soft feel, the stylized designs are inspired by the leaded glass and carved stone adorning the entrance of Biltmore House, embodying a graceful combination of nature and craftsmanship.

The Hannah collection, inspired by folk art painted furniture, was designed by Johannes Spitler for Williamsburg. Our colorful 70-line loop hook rug interprets the pinwheel motifs perfectly.

According to the principles of Feng Shui, red is a color that signifies richness and luxury. It evokes strong emotions like passion, energy and vitality. We “roll out the red carpet” for celebrities and dignitaries. So why not incorporate red into our own homes?

We experienced a terrific turnout at the Capel Showroom during the 2012 Winter Market at World Market Center in Las Vegas. It was great to see so many people and get such positive feedback regarding Capel’s “New Style Point of View.”

In addition to debuting many new styles, we had the support of celebrity designer Genevieve Gorder, who met attendees and spoke about her line of highly acclaimed rugs for Capel. Her appearance and vibrant energy gave the showroom a definite sense of excitement.

One special day makes February the most romantic month. But Capel Rugs lets you show your love of home all year round with an enticing pattern from licensing partner Kevin O’Brien.

The Droplets collection captivates with a lovely theme that emphasizes energy, tranquility and warmth. The collection features rows of multicolored hearts, which range from light to dark shades of the same color.

The rugs are colored with an “ombre effect,” which means it is monochromatic, but that different areas vary in the saturation of color. It’s a tantalizing treat for the eye every time you see it.

Droplets is available in four colors Poppy (shown above), Blue Rain, Grass and Smoke. This remarkable rug is truly art for the floor – the distinct pattern of aligning hearts can resuscitate a tired room.

The bold zig-zag design of the chevron pattern is unmistakably a hot trend in home décor.

The chevron is classic,  timeless and adds a striking twist on conventional stripes. Incorporating the chevron stripe into a design plan as an area rug gives the room an exciting base to build an interior design. Weather you use a brilliant color like Leo Sun (below) or subtler palette like Stone , the pattern creates visual interest – a magnet for the eye.

To cap it off, the crisp, clean lines of the chevron pattern works in either modern or traditional room styles.
